Seeking Proposals: 2018 HFES Healthcare Symposium in Boston

I’m excited to be co-chair of the Medical and Drug-Delivery Devices track for the 2018 International Symposium on Human Factors and Ergonomics in Health Care (organized by the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society), The 2018 Symposium will be held March 26-28 in my home town, Boston! This is the most important event of the year for those of us practicing HF/UE in the healthcare field.
Consider being part of the action by submitting a proposal. We welcome individual lecture or poster submissions, as well as full session panels, debates, and interactive presentations.
Seeking submissions in 4 technical tracks:
Medical and Drug-Delivery Devices (my track)
Clinical and Consumer Health-Care IT
Hospital Environments
Patient Safety Research and Initiatives
This year, my co-chair and I are particularly interested in submissions on:
HF validation testing of drug delivery devices
Compliance to FDA standards from industry perspective, particularly from start-ups
Augmented reality (AR) in the OR
Topics in telemetry – Case studies, challenges, lessons learned, etc.
New drug delivery platforms – Nasal, ocular, microchip, and nanotechnology
Other medical and drug-delivery device HF/UE best practices and lessons learned.
