Our Mission & Values
Loring Human Factors was founded with the mission of helping companies develop the best possible user experiences for their products and services. Most of our work has been in the medical and healthcare space, where the stakes are highest and the impact on users the biggest, but the team has also taken on projects in a variety of sectors, from self-driving vehicles to audio systems. No matter the product, service, or sector, we believe strongly that there is no excuse for bad design and always seek to improve quality of life for real people.
Misson and Values
Our History
Founder and Principal, Beth Loring, started LHF in 2016. It was her goal to support companies of all sizes, seeking long-term relationships with clients having the same core values. As a user advocate, she sought to go beyond one-off validation studies, believing that a robust Human Factors approach could help clients save money in the long run and provide better user experiences. Having decided on this mission, she has since built LHF from a solo endeavor to a robust team of experts, becoming one of the leaders in the industry.
LHF purposely focuses on clients and products that can make an impact no matter what their sector is. We have worked on a wide range of products: medical devices, transportation, software, apps, consumer products, and documentation. The team’s range of academic and professional backgrounds ensures that we always provide a high level of expertise and understanding.
We thrive on creatively solving difficult challenges and are willing to listen, learn, troubleshoot, and problem-solve in evolving situations.
